Free iPod Games and Applications

If you haven't guess it by my name alone I'm a tech guy and love technology. I especially enjoy my iPod as I use it for just about everything! I don't have an iPhone because I refuse to sign a contract with AT&T but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying this oh so delicious apple product. I'm not an App Reviewer so instead I'll share with you the Apps I have on my iPod.

I would like you gals and guys to share with me your favorite FREE apps in the comment section below so I can add them to the list.

The applications below are listed in no particular order:

Most Used Apps

1. Google App - This app lets me access all my Google applications in one nicely laid out setting. Everything from Gmail, calendar, docs, to YouTube and Google earth.
2. FaceBook - Always good to have. Could use a little refinement but still a nice free app.
3. Twitter - I'm not much of a Twitter user but it gets the job done.
4. Skype - With WiFi almost everywhere now this app actually gets used quite a bit.

Must Have Apps

1. Netflix - Stream netflix to your iPod/iPhone. Seriously with netflix at 8 bucks a month for unlimited streaming movies it's well worth the price.
2. eBay - This application isn't bad if you are using it mostly for buying or just watching. I haven't found it be to friendly when trying to sell through it.
3. Amazon - Another good one to have. You can add items to your wishlist and buy items. Haven't tried it for selling.
4. IMDB - The internet movie database at your fingertips. Check out imdb.com if have never heard of it before.
5. Remote - A must have if you have a large music collection. Remote lets you control your iTunes music library remotely on your computer.
6. WifiTrak - Scan for WiFi networks around you and it even gives you a read out of their signal strength.
7. TeamViewer - Remotely control your computer or someone else via secure connection with TeamViewer.
8. DropBox - Synch all your files and pictures and share them with every computer and smart device in your home or office.
9. Cooliris - Creates a digital picture wall of your searches. Great for when you just need to sift through to find that right image.
10. Google Earth - Runs a little slow but nice to have when your on the go or just really bored.
11. Alarm Clock - Comes with a few features but offers an alarm and displays just like a normal clock. Also prevents your device from going into standby and shutting the program off.
12. WeatherBug - It's free and offers more information than the default program.

Music Apps

1. Shazam - Ever had a song stuck in your head but didn't know the name of it or who sings it. This program actually listens to the song then will auto identify it for you. It does require a microphone though.
2. Pandora - Listen to free radio on the internet streamed direction to your device. Not only that but it takes your music tastes and streams music that would most interest you.
3. Slacker - This also lets you listen to free radio on the internet and personalize your stations.
4. Last.fm - Last fm lets you keep a record of what you listened to on any player then based on your tests offers out music recommendations and concerts.

Free App Games

1. UnblockMe - A puzzle game where you move wooden pieces to free the target.
2. iBasketFree - A simple basketball game where you try and guess the correct angle of the balls path to sink it.
3. AngryBirds - Fling birds with a slingshot while trying to destroy targets. (Very Addictive)
4. Tap Tap Revenge - Put your thumbs to the challenge as you tap your way through music tracks. Similar to guitar hero.
5. Photo Hunt - Quickly spot errors in a duplicate photo before the timer runs out.
6. Paper Toss - Toss wadded pieces of paper into a trashcan at different distances while adapting for various obstacles.
7. Game Center - Not really a game but lets you link supported games and earn achievements and challenge your friends who have the same games.
